The fabric we use for our Luxe covers (Oxford 900D) is engineered with advanced technological finishes, ensuring protection against mildew and mould, exceptional water repellence, and safeguarding from both UV and moisture for many years.

The buildup of dust, pollutants, organic contaminants, and general grime can compromise this protective layer, potentially reducing the longevity of the fabric.

Here are our tips and tricks for keeping your outdoor products looking Luxe, for longer:

Caring for Luxe Bins covers: The best way to maintain your fabric is to:

1. Brush off excessive dirt from your Luxe cover using a soft brush;
2. If needed (depending on the season) clean your Luxe cover once a month with water using a low-pressure hose, reducing dirt accumulation. It is very important that after cleaning with water, the cover is left to air dry. 

If periodic washing with water is done, in most environments, you should only need to do a more thorough cleaning every 2 or 3 years.

Every so often, the fabric may need to undergo a more thorough clean:

1. Like always, brush your Luxe cover with a soft bristled brush and if possible, spray with warm water. 
2. Apply a gentle natural soap/detergent, rinse thoroughly and air dry.

Any early signs of mould and mildew must be removed immediately. 

Normal cleaning of Luxe Bins covers:

1. Brush off dust and dirt with a medium to firm brush (like a dishwashing brush).
2. Spray the fabric with clean water. If a hose is used, avoid high pressure hoses to safeguard the fabric of its protective layers.
3. Prepare a solution of gentle soap in warm water (no more than 40ºC) and apply it on the fabric.
4. Scrub with a soft brush allowing the solution to penetrate the fabric.
5. Rinse with water to remove all traces of soap.
6. Leave it to air dry completely before storing.
